Inspired by letters from the playwrights' grandfather, a veteran of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders, A Soldier's War follows the journey of five young Canadians from basic training in Nova Scotia, through to D-Day, and the return home. A fresh and timeless look at endurance, honour, and finding brotherhood.

Founded in 2011, Strikes Twice Productions is committed to creating provocative, engaging theatre that emphasizes awareness for, and support of, mental health. Recently, the company has engaged in developing and creating theatrical works that have evolved from verbatim text and discovered primary resources. Previous productions include: Five Women Wearing the Same Dress (Live Five) and Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat (Saskatoon Fringe Festival).
