Audition Prep with Skye Brandon AND Audition for Saskatoon Indie Producer Panel
For the third year in a row Live Five is proud to offer a two-part Audition Workshop and Audition Panel this Fall!
Hosted by Saskatoon actor/director and Live Five founding member Skye Brandon, the workshop is designed for emerging and established artists alike to brush up on their audition skills, and then apply them by auditioning for a panel of local independent theatre producers.
The Audition Prep Workshop will take place over the course of two days on Saturday October 26th from 10am-4pm, and Sunday October 27th from 12pm-4pm at the Frank & Ellen Remai Arts Centre. Here, Skye will coach participants through the process of preparing for an audition, and work with each participant to strengthen their choices from entrance to exit.
Then, on Saturday November 2nd, participants will have the opportunity to show off their refined skills by auditioning for a panel of local Independent Theatre Producers. This audition portion is open to any actor - emerging, established, or otherwise - who would like their work to be familiar to as many local theatre-makers as possible in one convenient opportunity.

Skye Brandon is an award-winning actor, director, producer and teacher. He has performed all over Canada, including several seasons at the Stratford Festival. His independent companies have been responsible for nine productions in Saskatoon.
"As an emerging artist, the Live Five Independent Producer Panel gave me a chance to meet local theatre makers, ask them for advice, and showcase my skill set. It felt more communal than your regular audition, and for this I am grateful to Live Five. Not only did I have a lovely audition experience, but I then got to be a part of the Live Five season in Death of a Salesman. This was a valuable experience as an actor, and being part of an independent production gave me insight into what it takes to be part of a successful show here in Saskatoon - insight that I'm sure will inform my future endeavours as a theatre artist in Saskatchewan. Don't miss this opportunity to showcase your artistry!" - Amanda Trapp, 2017 participant
