Christopher Hampton’s famous adaptation of Les Liaisons Dangereuses is a tale of scheming aristocrats sparring over love and revenge set during the final years of France’s Ancien Régime. It is in equal parts an intense character study, a no-holds-barred depiction of the excesses that would come to ruin and topple a society, and a scintillating tale of love, lust and betrayal.
This production is grateful to have received funding from the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
Theatre Naught’s guiding principle is to produce plays from the world’s classical canon so that artists and audiences alike can have access to the richness and complexity of some of the most revered works created for the stage. A truly collaborative entity, Theatre Naught chooses plays that feature larger casts while striving for gender parity and opportunities for both emerging and established artists. Past productions include King Lear and The Cherry Orchard.
