Audition Prep with Aaron Hursh AND Audition for Saskatoon Indie Producer Panel
"How do I prepare? What pieces should I choose? What research should I do in advance? How do I make a good impression? Where do I stand? What do I wear? This workshop will provide you with the tools to strengthen your theatre auditions and to give you the confidence you need to succeed." - Aaron Hursh, Instructor
Live Five is proud to offer a two-part Audition Workshop and Audition Panel this September!
Hosted by our own Aaron Hursh, we are inviting emerging and established professional artists to brush up their audition skills, and then apply them in a concrete, practical manner by auditioning for a panel of local independent theatre producers.
The Audition Prep Workshop will take place over the course of two days on Sunday September 9th from 12pm-5pm, and Monday September 10th from 6pm-9pm at The Refinery (609 Dufferin Ave). Here, Aaron will lead workshoppers through the process of preparing for an audition, and work with each participant to strengthen their choices from entrance to exit.
Then, one week later on September 16th at Persephone Theatre, participants will have the opportunity to show off their refined skills by auditioning for a panel of local Independent Theatre Producers (currently Channel Theatre, Chasing Our Tales, Fire in the Hole Productions, Neverending Highway Theatre, Otto Helmut Productions, and Two Unruly Gentlemen Theatre). This audition portion is open to any actor - emerging, established, or otherwise - who would like their work to be familiar to as many local theatre-makers as possible in one convenient opportunity.
OUR AUDITION PREP WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL, but we encourage you...
